Lady Gaga, alias Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta (New York, 1986), is an American singer-songwriter, composer, actress and activist. She debuted in 2008 with the album 'The Fame', which was included by Rolling Stone magazine as one of the 100 best debut albums in history; several singles, including 'Just Dance' and 'Poker Face', were extracted from it, to worldwide acclaim. The album 'Born This Way', released in 2011, reached number one in the US and twenty other states. In 2016 she boasted the sale of 28 million albums and 157 million singles, of which 11 million albums and over 56 million singles had been sold in the United States alone, making her one of the best-selling artists in the history of the digital age. She has won several awards during her career, including an Academy Award for Best Song for the song 'Shallow', two Golden Globes, thirteen Grammy Awards, three BRIT Awards and a BAFTA Award for Best Score.
